Welcome, dear seekers
Let’s begin this beautiful practice by finding a comfortable setting position, preferably in nature. Rest your hands on your knees with your palms facing upwards.
As you inhale the fresh air, note the flow of nature’s love, compassion, and strength in your body and mind.
Let’s begin by observing the sensations in the mind; perhaps a sensation of curiosity is rising in your mind. Notice the symphony of mind and body as the sense of curiosity arises, and the body responds in relation to the mind’s curiosity.
Perhaps your gaze curiously rests on something around you, complimenting the curiosity of the mind. If there is a sensation of anger, the body immediately responds and prepares itself to respond to that sensation. Notice an immediate flow of excessive energy in your hands and in your legs, preparing you for a fight or flight response.
As we contemplate the unity between the mind and the body, we realize that there is hardly a sensation in either of these two which is not complimented by the other.
This beautiful harmony of mind and body makes life possible. If your mind is not where your body is, then no life is happening in the moment.
Notice that if there is stiffness in the body, the mind sends healing to that part of your body, just like twin brothers who feel each other pains and sensations.
As we near the end of our practice, take a few mental notes of how meditation helps us stay grounded in the moment with the body and makes this phenomenon of life possible.
When you’re ready, gently wiggle your fingers and toes and slowly begin to bring awareness back to your surroundings. When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.
May you always live in this beautiful harmony.
With love and gratitude!
