Welcome to this guided practice on easing emotional suffering. Find a comfortable sitting or lying position and gently close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths and focus on following your breath as you inhale and exhale.
Now, bring your attention to the emotions you are currently feeling.
Notice any sensations in your body that may be associated with these emotions. Take a few deep breaths and imagine sending your breath to those areas of your body. Visualize your breath as a warm, healing light that spreads throughout your body, easing any emotional pain and tension.
As you breathe, imagine a bubble of healing energy surrounding you. This energy flows through your body, healing any areas of emotional pain or discomfort. Visualize the energy as a bright, soothing light that washes over you, calming your mind and soothing your body.
If your mind starts to wander, gently bring your attention back to your breath and your emotions. Imagine sending love and compassion to yourself, acknowledging and validating your emotions.
Remember that you are in control of your emotions and your mind. Take deep breaths, focus on the present moment, and allow yourself to relax and let go of any emotional pain or discomfort.
