“Welcome to this brief introduction to meditation!

Knowing what meditation truly means is a must before we learn to meditate. Meditation is a state of effortless being, watchful, conscious, and absolute. Those are the highest states a human can achieve, and there are many ways to attain meditation.

There are three main stages of meditation, as per Patanjali’s Ashtanga yoga sutra: dharana, dhyana, and samadhi. The difference between each is the intensity.

There are techniques of meditation, such as Mindful Meditation, Vipassana, Transcendental Meditation, Pranayama, and Contemplative Meditation. They all serve different purposes. Meditation does not have an end to where we can reach.

Through the practice, you purify your mind, thoughts, and sensations; with an absolute and pure mind, you can begin to experience energies that you cannot experience otherwise.

In short, meditation is a state of being in absolute unity with the universal Consciousness. Meditating can lead to spiritual fulfillment.

I hope this brief introduction has sparked your interest in meditation and that you will explore this practice further.

Thank you for listening!”
